PROFHILO® is manufactured by IBSA Pharmaceutic Italia and it is FDA approved , distributed in the UK & Ireland by HA-Dermal Ltd.
It is the first stabilised Hyaluronic Acid (HA) based product which is manufactured without the use of chemical cross-linking agents (BDDE) and is used for skin rejuvenation, treating skin laxity, not for just filling lines and wrinkles. According to the makers, it delivers dramatic improvement in tissue quality, even in challenging areas, and is complementary to other aesthetic treatments and dermal filler procedures.
It is considered to be safe, effective and “a true breakthrough” in anti-ageing medicine. It is a unique combination of 32 mg low molecular weight HA and 32 mg high molecular weight. It is one of highest concentration of HA on the market, which is total of 64 mg of hyaluronic acid to active the skin rejuvenation process.
Patients can expect increased firmness, elasticity and an overall improved quality of the skin with the effects lasting six months.
This depends upon the degree of correction required, your age and lifestyle, as well as the correct placement of the product by a practitioner.
Two treatment sessions are usually recommended initially, with a 1 month interval in between. Top ups and maintenance treatments can then be prescribed by your practitioner according to your body’s response to treatment, if you want to get the best and most long-lasting results. For more mature skin, where the signs of aging are much more visible you might have to double the dosage to 8ml in the 4 weeks period, but that’s to be decided with the practitioner during your consultation.

It is essential that you inform your practitioner of all your medical history and any drugs that you are using regularly or occasionally, you are advised to not drink any alcohol 24 prior your procedure. In order to avoid the risk of getting bruising after the treatment, it’s best to avoid any non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medicine, Fish oil and aspirin a couple of days before the consultation, unless they are taken to treat a chronic medial condition.

CLINICAL RESULTS
Trial consisted of evaluation of 50 patients undergoing topical treatment with Profhilo HAENKENIUM twice a day (morning and evening). All results showed a statistically significant improvement at the first control visit (14 days):
