Semi Permanent make up
WHAT IS PERMANENT MAKE UP?
Permanent make up is also called permanent cosmetics, micro-pigmentation and cosmetic tattooing. It is a process where specially designed cosmetic ink is carefully placed in the upper dermis level of the skin using a precision cosmetic needle. The inks have been created specifically for make up to ensure the colour outcome is always natural and harmonious. You can expect your permanent make up to last from 3-5 years, although this depends on variable factors like sun exposure and the natural oil content of the skin.
Directly after your permanent make up treatment, the colour will be slightly more intense than desired- it will take up to a week for the colour to fade down to a natural colour. This is why we would not advise booking the treatment just before a party or social event. We advise to have 2 days off work after eye liner treatment because you may experience bruising or inflammation around the eye area, which is normal and it will improve within a week. Don’t have any eye makeup when you are coming for the treatment, it will take up to 2 hours and avoid driving up to 5 hours after that.
You may need to return for a retouch visit 4-6 weeks after the original treatment, to even out the colour and make any necessary alterations. This retouch is not included in the price of your treatment.
We use Emlla numbing cream to numb the area during your treatment to keep any discomfort to a minimum. Customers have described the treatment as a light scratching feeling or similar to having your eyebrows plucked.
The most popular permanent make up treatment is the eyebrow treatment. Permanent cosmetics can be used to balance uneven eyebrows, uneven lips and add definition to brows, eyes and lips. Please be advised that extra hair around your eyebrow must be removed before your treatment and this is not part of a tattooist treatment, extra charges apply for threading or plucking your eyebrows.
Permanent make up is great for people who use the gym, swimming pools, saunas and steam rooms. It is also perfect for sunny holidays, as it means you can go swimming in the sea and don't have to worry about sweat or water wiping away your penciled brows. Customers who have lost their eyebrow hair due to alopecia, chemotherapy or over-plucking really do benefit from permanent eyebrows.
